Hurricane Preparedness Tips
Be Prepared – Be Safe
1. Water and Food Have enough water on hand for at least three days per person, plus canned or dry goods that can be consumed without heating or cooling. Take note of special infant needs, such as formula and diapers.
2. Pets and Supplies Remember to consider your pet's needs in terms of water and food supplies. Be sure to have working flashlights and extra batteries.
3. Important Documents Have your important papers, medications, and contact information with you and stored in a waterproof container in case you need to evacuate quickly.
4. Financial Preparedness Keep your credit cards with you, your bank ATM card, and have some cash on hand in case of extended local power outages. Make sure you know your passwords for e-services and mobile banking platforms.
5. Flood Prevention As significant flooding is predicted for our area, please check to ensure any storm drains near you are clear from debris so that water can flow properly and potentially help avoid some flooding.
